Wyoming Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine Association
Dedicated to properly trained WY Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine practitioners & protecting the AOM profession
We are a not for profit association consisting of a self-regulating independent body of Wyoming acupuncture and Oriental medicine practitioners that verifies properly trained AOM practitioners in Wyoming. We do not support House Bill No. HB0165 due to many factors. This bill does not clearly identify that chiropractors and physical therapists may not use acupuncture needles without meeting the practice standards of an acupuncturist. Use of acupuncture needles is exclusive to the practice of a fully trained acupuncturists. This must be stated in any house bill to protect the acupuncture profession and ensure public safety and quality of care.
Welcome to Wyoming Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine Association
Our association is dedicated to the protection, promotion and advancement of the professional and safe practice of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Wyoming. We are dedicated to supporting the practice of properly trained acupuncture and Oriental medicine practitioners and helping them to connect with the patients that seek out their care.
We are dedicated to educating and informing the public about inadequately trained and unqualified acupuncture practice throughout Wyoming to ensure the safe and effective practice of the profession and to support our highly skilled and qualified Wyoming practitioners and their AOM practices. We do not support the inclusion of non-acupuncturists such as physical therapists, chiropractors and other non-CCAOM college graduates in a house bill / practice act.
WYAOMA's monthly continuing education and grand rounds for AOM practitioners are held at various locations around Wyoming. If you are an AOM practitioner and would like to be a presenter / speaker, please contact us
